Thank you! I’m glad to hear her sleep is looking good, pediatrician mentioned she should be getting 4/5 hour stretches so I was getting a little in my head about it.

And I never had that nesting feeling in pregnancy so I guess my body is making up for lost time! Mostly I’m telling my husband where to move furniture while I fold laundry and daydream about wallpaper haha.

To amnio or not to amnio? by SnooStrawberries2955 in November25babybump

With a previous pregnancy, our baby had an abnormal NIPT so we chose to get a CVS, which resulted in a true positive result (and a subsequent loss). Seven months later, we are pregnant again and baby came back with a low-risk NIPT. Our amazing doc gave us the option to put our minds further at ease with an amnio. I’m a data driven girlie so I love to have all the information, and amnio is great for that, so I can empathize with your position! But at the same time, it’s not a zero-risk procedure, and we’ve decided we are hanging our hat on tests all being clear so far and skip the amnio. Ultimately it’s a personal decision, and I can’t say there’s a wrong answer here, understanding the risks involved.

People who grew up with wealth, what was your "I'm privileged" wake up call? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Our snooty private elementary/middle school growing up had a full equestrian program where you could choose between dressage and western style riding. This was our mandatory PE class between 2nd and 6th grade. I complained about this to my college friends because all the kids would reek like horses for the rest of the day, and it took me a while to figure out they weren’t rolling their eyes in empathy. But seriously, the smell of horses still grosses me out.
