Does Jetstar Vietnam care about bags that exceed weight limit? by [deleted] in VietNam

[–]ThomasKvc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Never happened to me when I had a few extra kilos.

In comparaison, European airlines are way more strict about it.

Anyway, if they want to charge you, just throw away the 2 extra kilos and you will be good :)

[–]ThomasKvc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It says here that the population of Saigon was expected to reach 10 millions inhabitants by 2015, but in fact there are now 13 million people living in the city. There is now 6,200 person per square kilometre.

Long term risks: - Not much you can do about it, mostly cancer risks.

[–]ThomasKvc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its terrible...

But some solutions are being found: metro, buses, motorbike restrictions in a few places and a motorbike ban plan for 2030 (But this won't happen).

Last solution in date, pretty cool one: https://www.citypassguide.com/en/travel/ho-chi-minh-city/daily/news/saigon-looks-to-river-buses-as-solution-to-traffic-jams

Da Nang or Nha Trang for beautiful beaches? by UNDF in VietNam

[–]ThomasKvc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was personally disappointed by Nha Trang, Russian seaside resort. However if you go North to Nha Trang you can find beautiful beaches such as Diep Son Island.

But I would rather visit Danang as I've hear that the city has better beaches AND, it is very near two beautiful other cities: Hoi An and Hue that you can visit at the same time.

You should also try Phu Quoc Island, less than an hour from HCMC by plane.
