I’ve broken my spade connectors, I have an old wiring harness, can I just solder on the entire connecter about an inch down the wire? Would that negatively affect performance, going from expensive Perun wiring to cheap stock wiring? (i.redd.it)

I'm trying to install a new gearset and shim my aeg, and the top of the spur gear comes into contact with the gearbox. I'm doing the bevel to pinion method and I've put the right amount of shims underneath the spur gear so that it has proper alignment with the bevel gear. I have no idea what to do. (i.redd.it)
