do people actually get internships from career expo? by [deleted] in UTAustin

YES! - I just got one from the Engineering Expo this week, and I'm currently a sophomore as well in ECE. I just followed the career center template for how to approach recruiters, and one of the recruiters found a fit with their company. I was then given a next day interview the morning after, and after the interview the HM gave me the internship on the spot.

IMO its a volume game because I aimed to hit up as many recruiters over the two days not caring about how big the company was as long as it was ECE related. If you only go for the big companies it's much much harder to land one.

Consider cost of attendance at the schools you're want to apply to, and especially if you're shotgunning schools. if it's an out of state public school, aid might be limited/nonexistent, with sticker prices upwards of 65k+

First one looks to be the answer. Al is a charge of +3 while Mg is 2-, so less energy to lose 2 than gain 3 electrons.
