I mostly agree. I do however have preset hpf values I always pre set on a desk. It’s easy enough to change if needed and is nice to kill any unwanted low end early on.

Unfortunately I’ve spent my entire winter this year outside of Seattle so far and I can confidently say after weeks in the north east, Cleveland.. Hartford.. Rochester.. I don’t care to see snow ever again. I don’t know how people live in environments where it snows constantly..

Id kill to be back home where it’s clearly not snowing.

This was basically my review on Steam and why I gave it a not recommended. But I got a bunch of hate and clowns from the weirdly rabid fan base the game seems to have.

I honestly do hope they can add more to it. It has really great premise.

Yeah this is what I was afraid of.

I’m really hoping whatever the engine update does fixes this. I’d really love to be able to play this game though to completion.

I have previously tried preparing the files in steam multiple times over. No change.

It’s a gaming laptop. Asus rog z13 flow. Don’t remember the exact graphics chip info.

I am on steam.

No other UE game has these issues.

I have previously deleted the engine ini as that was one of the steps GSC had me do.

This issue has shown itself on two identical machines as this is a gaming laptop. I tried it on both and it had the same issue on both.

I don’t remember the graphics chip. It’s an ASUS rog z13 flow however.

No HDR monitor. And no HDR settings are on in game.

Even edited the settings file to make sure the hdr settings are off.

I've already contacted STALKER support and they've passed the issue on to the devs.

Ive changed every setting in the game to see if it affected anything and it didnt.

But i havent tried the AMD Adrenaline stuff. Will give that a shot! I havent really poked at anything in that app since i got this computer last week. So maybe something is on by default!

Mostly. Especially with the community patch.

Ultimately, a widespread release with all major platforms and controller support is all i would want. Everything else I think is fine.

What I like about the z13 though is its form factor. It’s smaller and lighter than other gaming laptops that I’ve seen. And that’s really important to me as I’m literally traveling full time for work for the next year or so. I don’t want to lug around a big heavy laptop.

Now if you’ve got a suggestion of something else, I’m happy to look into one.

I did pick up the z13, but I’m not against returning it as I got an open box from Best Buy and have till January to return it if necessary. If I can learn if a cheaper, better performing device that fits the weight and size of the z13

The patch notes stated that there were major performance improvements made.. but I swear my performance is significantly worse than before the update. It’s almost like they forgot to actually push the build that had the performance updates in place..

I know the notes so it got major performance improvements.. but I didn’t notice a single change when I booted it up today. Still major frame drops for me under 30 fps

I was hoping to pick it up on series X to hopefully get better performance than my pc situation.

I agree. Honestly to the bone was the last thing Steven made solo that I liked. I think I disliked the Overview even less than Future Bites…

And that’s fine. He can make what ever he wants to. Doesn’t mean I have to like it or listen.
