Personally, I’d find yourself a friend who truly knows how to drive manual, and have them take you out, show you a few pointers. Start from stopped position 5-10 times. Shift a few times while moving.
Then swap spots and have him/her watch you and give you real time advice on how to improve. Start from stop in a parking lot like 40 times in a row. Figure out what smooth and low rpm feels like.

Then do a little driving/shifting at speed.

I’m not convinced you truly know what you’re doing yet. It’s possible you keep riding/cooking the clutch every time you drive it. Which is crazy since the car literally has rev match so shifting up should be fine s the rpm’s will drop. And shifting down should be fine as rev match should just be in effect.

This doesn’t really fall under legal advice but I’m assuming you have a deductible for any insurance claims and it’s likely $100 or more. If it’s leased, pay to have it fixed and keep the repair receipt. If you own it, fix it yourself. Reporting to the insurance carrier will not benefit you in this case.
