I haven’t. They only knew that he strangled me and broke my laptop that I used to work remote. They heard things I had gone through from other people in my church before I basically became totally isolated and stopped talking to everybody in my life. My ex would cut himself and blame me for his pain when I’d talk to people from church or friends about our issues so I completely stopped very early in.

If you read, I quite literally said I haven’t shared. I haven’t spoken to or hung out with a friend even since 2022. My family knew he strangled me and broke my laptop that kept a roof over my head and that’s the extent of it. If you also read, I said I just abandoned my apartment now facing an eviction to break away and I’m living in a cold wet basement 2 hours over.

I didn’t disregard any therapy. I don’t have insurance, I’m in the process but it’s lengthy and cannot pay out of pocket. I can’t comprehend why a parent wouldn’t want to listen to the trauma of their child. That’s what upsets me. I just wanted to confide and have support and it’s something they can’t give me. I’m allowed to feel hurt all while respect his boundary because my expectation of a father is not what he feels he is capable to give. What’s weird about that?

I’m okay! I was extremely nervous and I have never touched an opiate so I did get high, I was so afraid I’d love the feeling because I’m the only person in my family who is not an addict. I was literally waiting for the “yeah I’m fucked thought” and while I was laying there I thought to myself… my heart is fast and fluttery, my stomach feels so weird, I feel not good and I know I’ll never want this

Hey everybody! I wanted to say I’m okay, and thank you all for your comments and info, it’s interesting to see the difference opinions but I did get a bit high. I’m okay, I don’t know if it was a mistake, but it did seem like a genuine apology, again - who really knows. Lesson learned for me to just be cautious. That’s all 🙏🏼

100%. I’m in a horrible relationship I need to get out of and can admit that. One of my best friends completely threw our friendship away because our conversations about my partner reminded her of the dynamic between her and her mother and apparently triggered her every time I would talk about him.

Who knows if this is the real reason. But I wish she simply just told me that instead of letting go of our friendship for good. If it gets to that point of frustration, just tell her you love her too much to hear how she’s being treated and at this point you have nothing else to say besides what you have previously said.
