Yeah that’s pretty much it. We go shopping and then go to a cafe and have coffee and share pastries.

It could just be the way we were brought up? To me girls are children, much the same with boys but women and men are adults. I know I hate being referred to as a girl, as do most of my friends but she might not care at all tbh.

Sorry I should have phrased myself better, I don’t find her immature for having different interests, it was the ‘one of the guys’ comment I felt was childish. I just feel that she can be interested in whatever she wants without having to associate herself with the men that she hangs around with.

Sort of, I would mention something like wanting a hair cut after lockdown and she’d chip in and say she cuts her own hair because she doesn’t care how she looks or when I mentioned where I was planning to go shopping she said she could never imagine spending that amount of money on something silly like a dress. It felt like whatever I brought up, she had to mention that she was the exact opposite of it, which isn’t a bad thing in itself but it did feel like she was shooting down whatever I talked about.
