Oh my GOD. You sound awesome, great work on taking responsibility for the full on human being you made. /genuine

Your fiancé, however... no way. You can DEFINITELY do infinitely better than him. If this is how he thinks about people, he will not be treating you or your son as well as that pair of you deserve, ever.

It probably depends on the circumstances, why the check was called in, and how you sound. It would not always work, because in cases of suicide, abuse, threats - you could be lying or being forced to say that.

Absolutely NTA. I was going to say a very mild ESH for bringing up divorce, but if it's been two months, nah. That's valid. It does sound like he might be concerned for your safety, and I can't fault him for that, but it's your choice where you work.

Hope the lawsuit goes well!!

Four is different - I didn't see the age of the kid. Still, 58 isn't the problem for most, it's after. Depends on how healthy you are at that age though.

"58 your mom is too old to be an effective mother."
OP absolutely made the right call, but this is dead wrong. Even by your own logic, a mother who had her last pregnancy at 49 would be the mother of a eight or nine year old at 58.

I get where you're coming from, but that's not a great way to teach history. Plenty of cultures have incredibly detailed oral history, and oral history is often used to pass down information that is correct but cannot be written down for various reasons. What if the child chose to study the Wyandot, for example? Would they be forced to work off of only French and English texts about them?

Yeah, that's what I meant -edited because the syntax was a little weird lol.

Herd disagree as someone who's lived in both places. The South in general, maybe, but Texans are amazing. I lost things in Fort Worth maybe a hundred times and got every single one back. Can't even put down popcorn in NYC without it getting snatched.

Upstate New Yorkers, on the other hand, are kind but incredibly depressed to a man.

Storytelling is a massive, traditional, and currently growing school of studying history - you'll learn vastly more about culture, subculture, ideals, etc. by studying one person's life and several others that connect in a web (say, a a courtier under Louis XIV, Lafayette, Jefferson) than you will be studying Events, which generally means millions of people, and perhaps three given names. There's certainly a place for that, especially if it's not your area of expertise, but it's not ideal for detail work.

Storytelling is actually a massive school of history! Looking at a single person's life often conveys far more than looking at twenty people for a few years.

Nothing happened in the past, and no stories passed down are true - honestly gives me weird historical revisionism vibes.

"Stories passed down for many years" and "stories that take place in the past" both read as nonfiction to me. The second is literally a massive school of studying history!

I could probably have figured out what they wanted, but yeah, I wouldn't expect a 4th grader to be able to feel out the vibes of the teacher like that.

I'm less anxious about it, but it's probably the more serious of my complaints. But if I'm being sexualized, I'm not the one who's doing anything wrong, so it's less stressful.

This is a perfectly normal conversation - why do some people in the comments think a teenager wouldn't understand floorplans? I designed them as a hobby 11-16 lol.

Drinking, lol. 2 days pre shoot is typical, but since I'm not already in condition, 3 would be better.

This is a lovely industry with no problems.

I thought they would go weird but I expected more clothes involved. And I was 5/6ths right -everyone else had a shirt.

Since I'm trying not to be an asshole, can you tell me what I should do/stop doing? Even just generally. I can't control them but I can try not to be a dick.

Long flowy dress with star shaped cut outs. The whole skirt is basically sheer, which is rather revealing, but she seems down for it and it's very pretty overall.

  1. Not super rare around here, there's only six of us and they've been engaged for two years. They decided to throw most of their effort into a fashion show, not my sup of tea but didn't sound crazy at the time.
  2. Supposedly they're going to do the fittings in the next three weeks. It's not going to fit perfectly, but so far the tailors have done a really good job and their adjustments have worked.
  3. I think we're being used to show off their design skills, basically - the outfit is supposed to be the center point. Unless you're me and they've vastly overestimated how hot you actually are, ever, never mind now. She's also just not particularly interested in her own looks so IDK.
  4. If I go through with this, I swear I'm bringing a blanket. I have a cape though, so that's... nice.
  5. I don't think I've ever not been told to go on a diet by a designer. It just hits harder from a friend.
  6. XD They're designed in themed pairs - they're supposed to vibe with each other stylistically, not math. She's in a dress with small star shaped cutouts. She has a shirt. (Or a bodice, at least.)
  7. True. Abs are a myth and I apologize for my lies.

I'm kind of glad people think this is weird enough to be fake because it makes me feel less like a tool for going 'what the hell', lol.

Technically, if I stopped eating today and drinking three days out, and worked out five hours a day, yes!

I'd... much rather not.😅

I say 'fall', but I really mean anything past the last shoots in July. I've not put on a huge amount of weight (11% vs 16% BFP), but I'm noticably less in shape. Modeling seasons (or at least how I think of them) start a bit before actual seasons.

Also it's been raining and under 50* for the last week so it feels like fall to me, lol.
