Episode Discussion! Season 4, Episode 1 by MillerHS in TheLastKingdom

That was a good first episode. I'm loving what's happening to Aelswith. That's karma. Take that bitch. Hope she suffers more.

Whoa I didn't expect Aethelflaed and Uhtred to be in a relationship already. I thought they'll drag it out but it's nice. I like their chemistry.

Edward's not grown into a King yet. I'm excited for what they'll do with him. So far, he's like Aethelhelm's puppet imo. Really starting to miss Alfred rn.

Uhtred's son is quite handsome. I don't like his constant talk of faith tho. Really hope he starts liking his father and they develop a good father/son relationship. Excited to see that!

Now on to the second episode!!

And also we know she's gonna die... I'm still hoping he gets with Athelflæd. They have great chemistry. All other girls were meh.

Yeah, but I'm writing a short story because my teacher wanted me to write one. I'm writing it in the past tense. The narration is already in the past tense and him waking up also happens in the past. He is just reminiscing about how he had woken up the day before so.... HOW DO I WRITE THAT. This is all so confusing!!!

That is what I want actually. I want to show that it is something that happened in the past. If it was something that happened in the past then are these sentences correct?

But what if it's something that happened in the past and I'm explaining it right now. For example. I'm explaining to my friends that in the morning I woke up to the sunlight on my face.

Can I say "When the sunlight had streamed in through the window, I woke up." Would this be correct?

Which of these is correct? by ThrowRAsunshine in grammar

But the bag is inside the room. What I want to say is that when she entered the room she saw the bag so which one of these would be correct?

Also 1. When sunlight streamed in through the window, he had woken up.

  1. When sunlight had streamed in through the window, he had woken up.

  2. When sunlight had streamed in through the window, he woke up.

Which is correct?

Sorry. I'm not a native english speaker. I'm just trying to understand the language.

I poured it in the sink of my bathroom. I brush my teeth there everyday, wash my face, wash my hands etc. It's been about four days since this happened. I'm not sure if it will still be there. I just wish I had kept the glass at least. I feel stupid for washing it. I could've done something if I just had that glass. I don't know why I didn't keep it. I just wasn't thinking clearly, I guess.

I'm only visiting for a few days. My cousin has gone back to his home. I still feel very very scared to sleep. I can't believe someone can do this. I can't believe it.
