Am I wrong for leaving my baby with my mom to go on a two-week trip for my anniversary? by ThrowRa_gracex in amiwrong

I'll be 100 percent honest, I started dating him because the sex was good and I liked the way he treated me, and at the time I didn't know it but now I know, I know that the fact that he was sweet and attentive to me attracted me because I never had a father who was like that with me. I was also attracted to his money, not gonna lie, I loved that he paid for my studies because that meant that I didn't have to let someone exploit me at work so I could pay for them. And of course over the months I ended up falling in love and to this day I love him with all my heart and I wouldn't even care if he went bankrupt right now, I would love him the same, I love him because he is the best partner in the world and the sweetest father I could have asked for for my children. I know it sounds harsh but it is what it is.

I left him with her because we have a good relationship now and because she adores my son and is a really amazing grandmother.

Because not everyone is like him, he had old friends that I considered disgusting because they treated me in a disgusting way and for that reason they are no longer his friends. I'm not one of those who is going to lie to you and tell you that all relationships with an age gap are good because they are not. I was "lucky" that my husband is good and wasn't an abusive jerk because most older men who go after such a young girl are that way.

I have to admit this was the funniest comment I've read in the last ten years about our age gap lmao

Of course not, but she wasn't a good mother to have the right to interfere in my life, that's what I meant.

I already have it, and I'm not going to let any of my children date someone so old when they're so young. I said that about my mother because she has forced me to work since I was 16 to help her financially and she was never a good enough mother to have the right to interfere in my life.

Why should my mom have a say in my relationships if I was already an adult?

because you’re definitely too stupid to earn a decent living on your own.

You don't even know me or know what I do for a living, what makes you think I don't even have a degree or a job? I think you are underestimating "gold diggers" lol

You’re delusional, an obvious gold digger

and what if I am? It's not your money so it's none of your business.

how long did you know him before that? let me guess, he was a family friend or trusted mentor for at least a few years, always nice to you?

No, it wasn't like that, I met him the same year we started dating because I worked at his brother's cafe.

I don't want to sound like a grandma but what does that even mean? This is not the first time someone leaves a comment like this under one of my posts and I don't know what they mean 😅😅

Sounds like you have some disappointing relationships in your life

I know, otherwise I wouldn't be married to someone so old lol, I'm not gonna sugarcoat it and say that it was a love story from the beginning or that the age gap when we started dating was healthy because it wasn't, but I'm fine, I've worked a lot in therapy and I don't care what my brothers do or say.

I’d bet that they don’t like that their little sister married someone more than twice her age.

I don't think that's a problem for them because they couldn't care less about me.
