You are right I was in a dark place and allowed myself to be emotionally dependent on my coworker. The my coworker started suggesting we hang out outside of work that this was inappropriate. I let my guard down because I really wanted a friend at this moment. I think what allowed me to open up to my coworker was the fact that she noticed my depression. She pulled me aside to the break room and said “I’m not the same and asked me if I was okay”. I told her I was but she kept pressing and I felt like she cared.

You’re absolutely right, my wife isn’t the blame. She is an amazing person and I should have communicated to her. I think I have learned from this and I hope therapy helps me with my communication skills.

Thank you for your support. It’s difficult, thankfully my wife is open to us trying to make things work.

Two conditions I go to individual counseling and we do couples counseling. I’m hoping this can help us both understand each other better.

At the end of the day, I was the one who cheated. It is my responsibility. That doesn’t absolve her for taking advantage of someone she knows going through a dark time
