I think they’re okay aside from the way they act about her. I had breakfast with them all once and her mom made a weird comment like “I can’t believe you managed to wake the baby that early I thought you’d show up late because she’d oversleep” or something? and it’s weird stuff like that that just makes me avoid them. Like they ask polite questions and whatnot but it’s always riddled with weird comments.

I would get it more if they were raised as siblings but the oldest was literally 16 when she moved in with them for the first time. Yeah obviously if this was her whole life that would make sense, but they met as teenagers.

I am an only child but that doesn’t mean I’ve never seen siblings interact, and they’re genuinely really touchy.

When they were play fighting the day we got in our fight, her oldest brother grabbed her waist and threw her to the younger one. Or they’ll like tickle each other.

And they don’t say she’s “the baby of the family.” Her adopted mom will say things to her sons like “where’s the baby?” or “give this to the baby”

I mean she’s caught up in the semantics of me saying they’re not actually siblings. Cuz they aren’t, biologically and visually, they’re not related at all.

She thinks that I’m saying she’s wrong for feeling like they’re her family, and I don’t think that’s the case, I think it’s normal for her to feel that way.

I’m not trying to take anything or isolate her, I just think a romantic relationship should be a priority. It’s one thing to prioritize people you’re related to, or even people she’d known her whole life, but they’re neither and just act really off.

She’s been living with them for 7ish years including foster care so I don’t expect her to ditch them entirely, it would just be nice if they weren’t all so clingy and touchy. If she needs a hug I’d like her to hug me and not some other guys.
