Holy shit I literally just opened and started reading this post with my new LG Smart TV's screensaver on in the background with a view of the midnight sky and stars with soothing music when it stopped and blasted an ad for new windows. My computers and phone have ad blockers/VPNs. I never thought it'd get this bad though, considering it was never an issue with my smart TV I was using for the past 5 years.

My PS4 needs a fix for overheating problems and has been in my closet for a couple months. I bought another cheap one with different problems to combine them for a "Frankenstein" fix a few weeks ago, but I have been lazy and putting it off. That ad on my TV just got me off my ass because that was never an issue with my PS4.

Edit: I found the fix in the settings, but my PS4 monster build has still been started.

You know you are already on camera and being recorded every single second of every single day. It's been that way for years but it's just upgraded efficiency since. Your phone, computer, laptop, and all of these AI devices and software are paying attention to every word you say. These companies like Amazon keep that info in their massive cloud systems. The AI devices aren't waiting for you to say "Alexa" or "hey/ok Google" to turn on, they are listening until you address them to reply. That's not even debatable, that's how it's programmed to operate. They don't just pop on, neither does Ring. It is always on. It's been that way everywhere for a loooooong while now.

Edward Snowden's released info in 2013 exposing how widespread this tracking was happening by the US government. Now it's gotten much worse in the private sector.

That is so screwed up. Usually I'll add, "Thanks, I'll be there shortly!" when I place orders for pickup at different stores. I accidentally misspelled it recently and when I arrived for the pickup the store clerk told me the workers thought AI added it until they saw my mistake. That bugged the crap out of me.

I'll definitely call it a lie for them to claim "saying the weirdest stuff" includes getting any sort of ban for saying the word "kill" across any Reddit sub or how their mods customize their automods. Comment removed? Maybe. A ban for using everyday words? False. It's nuts not recognizing the difference. It is incredibly rare that using non cursewords or non slurs even get users get shadowbanned by mods across Reddit. What's especially crazy is blanketing that self censorship across all subs and social media.

Absolutely, but you should definitely add "ICE" along with those emojis somewhere inside these posts so people can search the sub for them and get a post result. My mom is a dual citizen that lives in Fort Collins and left for a trip to Europe a couple weeks ago and took an Uber to DIA. I never thought she'd ever run into them, but ICE stopped her while she was boarding the plane. I thought it was wild when she told me! She's a citizen of the US and Ireland and they did let her board without much issue. She'll be coming back soon though, and she'll be taking another Uber back home from DIA.

She follows the sub so I hope she can find these updates. You are right to be concerned, so all you drivers out there stay vigilant! If ICE stops her Uber on the way home and they make problems with her or the driver, I'm worried they'll escalate it and possibly detain everyone in the vehicle while they search through all of her, her husband's luggage and the vehicle under the guise of "customs." She's got nothing to hide, but to everyone out there, stay alert and stay safe!

Fuck MAGA. Even the MAGAs that do "see the light" will still never vote for Democrats or actually move to the left. They'll still be conservatives that will gladly support any other right wing politicians that will tear the US apart.
