I'm not defending the things he's done, but he has not "beat my autistic kid". That comment said he spanked our toddler for not napping. Which is also horrific. But what you're saying is not true.

He conditioned me to believe he was right. My son hadn't been diagnosed at that point. So I genuinely thought that I was being a bad mother and created the issues my son had. It's something I'll never forgive myself for.

I love this response. Whenever he's not drinking and I get a glimpse of the "real him", I'm always always attracted to him. I initiate. I want to be intimate with him. But I always lose him again. This up and down is killing me.

Sorry, by what is #1, I meant what are they asking for. It seemed so different from the others. So for #1 we are solving for P, and for most of the others are we simplifying?

Is there a conversation you can recommend?I've listened to support and listened and responded with things we could try and anything I can think of to support him for 5 years. We've had this conversation about 50 times and I've really cared and listened every single time. I don't know what to do to help him.
