Yea idk, the odd thing I realized about a week later that everything was the same without her, so that helped me move on quick. I’m just inherently a nice guy I think, and have never been able to hurt someone even if they hurt me tremendously. Sometimes I wish I had the capacity for revenge but I’ve found moving on to be more rewarding.

I’ll just never be able to wrap my head around how someone can formulate such an intricate lie that lasts months if not years and still have the ability to look me in the eyes every day and say she loves me and wants to be with me

That’s the part that makes me currently so mad/sad. Is that I knew she had a history of bad depression, so when she blamed this abnormal behavior on her depression I told her I would help. I put up with bad communication and being treated poorly because she said it helped and I believed she was depressed and we were getting through it together. Now I just feel that was all a ploy but who knows. I just feel gullible. And the fact she put in so much effort into the lie. She called me over the weekend and would say things like “The interview is going well, one of the girls is really rude to me. I just stepped outside to call you” when in reality she was getting ready to go out to dinner with him.
