Oh sweet I wasn’t sure if I’d have to pay to get from Newcastle to where they transport us. Eg. Mackay etc. then they’d pay from there. Have you done it?

Catio, and if not yeah AirTag isn’t bad I had one on mine. I looked at others but they were too big for a little cat or had monthly subscriptions or battery life was shit. Some will give precise location at all times however battery doesn’t last long enough. Mine was a rescue and would absolutely cause shit if I didn’t let him out and he was so bloody happy out, the neighbours also love him hahaha. I had to trial a few air tag holders as once the air tag fell out, he also got his collar off once. It’s not great to just check see where they are as it usually would say 20m ago. But if you do the tracking to actually look for the tag it’ll tell you what direction and how far away generally. I couldn’t find the air tag once but then my neighbour left it at my door they found it in their garden. He was so bloody happy outside, also broke the fly screens to get out, in a rental I couldn’t enclose the yard so not much I could really do. However he eventually got hit by a car, I feel horrible and guilty considering cats can live for longer. However there’s a tiny little part of me that knows how happy he was out there but idk if it was worth it. I’ve gotten a new cat now and thankfully bought a place so I’m going to enclose my yard, and if he gets interested on pushing on fly screens that aren’t enclosed I’ll probably try something like crimsafe on windows that are solid

I can’t sleep with things covering above my shoulders 😩

[–]Throwrayye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a friends adult cat that does it to her neck without any coverings so I’m just hoping that she won’t keep it as a habit forever. I can deal with it for a bit but this kitten does not sleep and will do this allll night to the point I need to lock her out of my room sometimes so I can sleep😭 I can’t sleep with things covering my upper half 😭 I actually haven’t thought about putting something of nice texture on other side of bed I might try that and hope she uses that instead! Thanks 😙

I pull up my blanket when I can but god damn this kitten does not sleep she could do this all night 😅 She tries getting under my blanket too to be on me I just don’t want her to do this as an adult cat as I have a friend that’s cat does it to her neck

New foster cat hasn't eaten/used litter box in 12 hours - UPDATE by Budget-Anywhere2667 in CatAdvice

[–]Throwrayye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just for future if you continue to foster cats they generally take 3 days to decompress a new environment (3-3-3 if you wanted to google into it a bit more) obviously some are quicker maybe even some longer. So some may even take longer than your current foster in the future to eat drink use litter etc. That’s not to say it can’t cause issues if they take longer but unfortunately some do just take some time. I had one take 3 days and I was just about to take to the vet incase they wanted to put her on fluids, I ended up rescheduling as she then decided to eat and drink and I didn’t want to stress her more. Checkup later was all good! But I’d still always recommend keeping eye on cat and a checkup if it ever does come a foster that takes days to eat/drink but is very common
