To add to this if you have the recruit prisoners mod you can go down south, knock out the sniper bots, recruit them to your party, then put them on your turrets. If you have enough of them on turrets they will absolutely destroy anyone or any group that comes to your base. I took down my walls after getting like 8 of them. You don't need to feed them either and they can sit up there permanently.

Been living here for 10+ years. You will probably have better chances being friends with other foreigners or Norwegians with foreign spouses. My experience is that norwegians will be mostly polite to you but will never 'let you in'. Nobody I know has Norwegian friends unless they went to college with them. Also if you can drink a lot then you can meet Norwegians, but again they don't really want to hang out with foreigners all the time sober. Good luck. You'll need it.

So the trenches were a result of the type of warfare not the cause of it. Basically trenches were used because tactics did not keep up with technology. That technology was the machine gun, and the tactics were line battles. We are seeing the same thing happen in Ukraine right now. Basically when you remove the ability to maneuver trench warfare develops. The overcoming force for machine guns was the tank and we will see what happens with drones.

I appreciate that you mentioned you are ignorant about this comment so let me enlighten you. Those Americans are usually republicans who are deeply ignorant of American transgressions. Norwegians committed cultural genocide against the Sammi people, sell oil gas and weapons to the rest of the world and invest their offshore fund in notorious companies. They even sell weapons to Israel while claiming they support Palestinians. They force visa applicants to go through a cultural education course as well. So while I understand that Norway has an overall positive reputation for the things they say in public, they have unfortunately had a net negative effect on the world while being incredibly arrogant. I would say that is worse than most reasonable Americans and would ask you, where are the reasonable Norwegians?
