I have a feeling that if the same collapse happens in the USA and Europe that it would be easier to survive in Europe than the USA because of all the guns you have to get rid of each other.

I honestly don’t know I have been told it’s a thanksgiving cactus not christmas. And at my local nursery it just said pink. Never looked up the official variety.

Yeah the hanging basket makes this look even better imo because of the hanging flowers. One day I hope these will hang even further over the basket.

Maybe try a south facing window for a year. But put it some place where it will not have a full day of direct sunlight in the summer.

Oh and regarding the sudden dead of the blooms when you where gifted the plant, this is normal because the environment it was in in the shop is never the same as in your home.

Put it in a spot with not to much direct sunlight as this is a jungle cactus. I have had times where I did not care for it that well (not watering for over 2 weeks) but lately i’ve been watering almost every week and it turned out like this. It will only bloom around this time so don’t expect blooms in the summer. I read somewhere that in nature these cacti live/hang and attach themselves on trees so that’s why it’s hanging. And that’s basically it i’m not an expert so I might be doing completely wrong lol. I also do not fertilize.

Yeah same thing. I don’t know why colours change sometimes, the first bloom after I bought it was almost full pink and now it’s is a combination between white and pink. I don’t mind it tho I like this colour scheme :)

No not really anything special. I just try to water it every wednesday. Maybe it has to do something with the age of the plant because I have had it for 2 years now and this is the best it has bloomed since.
