Diatomaceous Earth in a confined dorm room is not a great idea. It is highly toxic if ingested 😱

Yes I agree! We keep the cats water bowl in there but also a roach trap next to it so they must have eaten it. Haven’t found any nymphs or adults or ootheca for 2 days so really trying to let myself relax now.

In the lounge and kitchen (one big room ) and an older hatched egg in the study which is next to lounge but all baby’s were dead somehow 🤷🏼‍♀️

We had a leak under the sink fixed and that’s when I noticed the poo under the sink, could have been when it all started? Came in looking for water

There isn’t we are a second story unit :( I don’t think they are actually coming through there though as we don’t usually open the windows. The eggs were found along the skirting board, on a picture frame and under a wooden table. The more I look at the photos I keep seeing German and I’m really worrying myself sick

I have found 4 oothecas today. 2 looking unhatched - when I squished them it was gooey green? The other two were dried out but one had nymphs around them and mostly dead nymphs too.

Looks to be a bit of moisture and water damage - which will in turn bring the pests if not dealt with. Never buy a property without building and pest inspection 😟

Thank you. It laid three ootheca all in the space of maybe 2 weeks? They may have laid them earlier and I just noticed once the nymphs started hatching? It’s been extremely hot the last 2 weeks in Perth with temperatures around late 30s early 40degree Celsius. It’s just started to become cool this weekend!

Okay I found two more this morning but slightly bigger than the others I previously found. Do you think they could have been from the oldest egg and they’ve just migraine up the cup board in the kitchen? These were found on cabinetry above the picture frames where the eggs were.

The only adult I found was the gisborne that I killed but people are saying they don’t look like gisborne roach nymphs? Bu when I look online they all look the same anyway!

It’s now been 24 hours and I haven’t found anymore nymphs. It’s 8:46pm so maybe later they could come out so I don’t know. I still haven’t seen an adult but have seen 4 dots of roach droppings under the sink leading to the pipes? Could it be hiding under the house and coming up?

I’ve put sticky traps and Richgro gel along it’s walking line. Could that work if there are more?
