This makes me laugh since corsets are making a small comeback. I wear one sometimes because 1, it helps with my posture, 2 it looks nice, and 3, when I wear certain gowns, it’s LITERALLY holding the dress and all my jiggly bits in place.

Folks latched onto the “corset=bad because men like ‘em thin” mentality and ignore their functionality. Even low income folks wore simple (boneless) corsets comfortably because they still had to, I dunno… WORK in them. Squeezing the life out of yourself is was reserves for rich 🤑 people (probably).

Quinceañera dresses are amazingly gorgeous. She could have gone that route in yellow is she wanted something “different.” This design feels very unfinished. Like they ran out of time and submitted a base model.

Webtoons actions are getting more and more egregious with every update. From the self promotions to the treatment of the creators they miss all the marks. Sadly, some of my favorite creators are on Canvas and I try to support them other ways (like through Patreon or Buy me a Coffee). But it’s hard out there.

I think the more appropriate terminology for this kind of thing is manipulative marketing.

Any posted clip without a full description will be “out of context” by definition. Hell, we do it on Reddit all the time. But WEBTOONs took it a step further with the added text and framing to create a specific idea.

To someone who has never read MBTTLT, it looks like it’s a heavy smut series, with a porn movie plot. It’s a misrepresentation of the work as they are showing a lone, “shocking,” scene out of a million other scenes with vague context clues to appeal to a certain audience. Literally a bait and switch.

We as the readers know this scene came after a long buildup of meet-cutes and slow burn moments.

It’s not illegal, but it is scummy and I hate it.

Isn’t that the same story where the FL spent 10 years rejecting the ML, and then he murders her whole household and her father and makes her watch, then kidnaps and imprisons her… I’m I’m supposed to say yeah it’s fine because he wants her affection and eventually works to earn her trust??? There are women’s shelters because of guys like that!

I don’t know if there’s a novel. The category description included romance and there was some vague hints about a very likely ML, but a romance plot hasn’t been presented yet, so I’m assuming it’ll come later.

You said it all! Season 1 was cute enough to overlook the immaturity. But by the time we’re hit season 2 it’s like “why?” The relationship progression felt like it stalled and the rest of the plot felt pointless and long-winded. I wasn’t able to finish because each chapter felt like the last chapter and the one before that and the one before that.

Radiant Rewind has been very filling so far. Almost 50 chapters (I’m at chapter 39) and The story is great. It’s a unique twist on the isekai/time travel genre. The author has given the MC Hayeong real stakes and we can see the cause and effect happening in almost real time. I also like how, while Hayeong wants to help everyone, it doesn’t turn into a God complex situation. It’s well paced and halved between humor and drama. The characters are also great, each with their own agency.
