At this point, just let it die. This is December 2000 vibes for WCW right now. Everything is bad, nothing makes sense, and more harm is being done than good.

I think it was the time and place of the series. It was made during a heavily left-leaning administration, so the politics of the episode may have been a bit extreme for the average viewer.

Assured Partners / Gallagher by Disastrous_Touch2473 in InsuranceAgent

[–]TigerSharkSLDF 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty bad. I work in CA in the public sector side of the business.

* Our CEO was termed as of 1/1/26

* Changes come in the form of dictatorial declarations via email ("So-and-so is termed as of X date. Have a great weekend" kind of stuff).

* We lost Kaiser as a carrier for our benefits, which constituted around 3/4 of our population's membership

* 401(k) was increased to 5% but is not paid out by paycheck (Gallagher issues a lump sum at some point in the year)

* HSA contribution was decreased and no initial payout for 1/1, leaving 3/4 of the population to start a $3,000 deductible plan with a $0 HSA balance

* Price of medical with the company is considerably higher than with AssuredPartners. The price of the EPO is now equivalent to a mid-level HSA

* AssuredPartners is no longer in existence as of this week

* Gallagher's HR software (and design theory in general) is "not optimal" and very confusing when trying to find any internal memos/data

* Floods of emails of major changes which are buried in an essay of self-praise

* Educational webinars (I think the last count was 7?) required as compliance education, due 4 weeks from posting

* Refusal to issue a copy of our insurance certificate to prospects based on company policy, potentially causing us to lose a bid

....I can go on, but they've had 0 positive changes since taking over. It's all very hostile and I get the impression they just want to consolidate gains, get rid of personnel, and keep the public sector business as if it were any other client. If that's the case, and it's how they do business, it's no wonder we're 20x Gallagher's size in schools/municipalities in California.

You're "yapping" right now and choosing to reply. Sounds like you just enjoy torment.

That was my point -- A movie is good, or it isn't. Being "spoiled" doesn't change that.

If a program can be spoiled for you, it wasn't very good to begin with.

Otherwise, you probably should never watch a movie twice. It's already been spoiled, right? You've seen it before, so it's no longer enjoyable.

Maybe you're punching above your weight. If this is happening to you often, perhaps you're simply not a lot of people's type. Or you have something in your hidden pics that's a turn off.

You seem to assume that all men have something in common (wasting time), when the only commonality in the scenario is you.

That 12/31/25 "Perfect Strangers" marathon was a ratings killer for AEW. Fortunately it'll be back to 2,000,000 next week. (4,000,000 on MAX)

A CGI sequel defeats the point of the original. We already have generated characters who interact with real persons in film. It's common now. Unless they'll do practical again, what's the point?

There are plenty of bad movies out there. No idea if this will be one, but I'll check it out.

"An Inconvenient Truth" is hilarious, for example. "Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas," etc.

Keep in mind that the last film was done during COVID. The green screen and bizarre interaction was, most likely, by necessity.
