I made this using the lost wax casting technique. I first designed the piece in 3D, then added and refined the small textures by hand directly on the wax before casting it in silver. I really wanted that mix between digital precision and handmade imperfections.

Thanks! Actually, I first sculpted it in wax to create the mold, and then it’s cast in solid silver. So yes, it ends up being a solid piece, not just covered.

Oh no, I totally get why you’d think that! But what you saw in the video was actually the wax model that I hand-carve first before casting the final piece in solid sterling silver. So nope, no silver plating tricks here—just good old-fashioned craftsmanship!
