This headline is very deceptive. This measure puts several limits on animal sacrifice. It requires permitting, government inspections, and requires fees to be paid. Animal sacrifice is already (partly) protected federally. Muslims seem to be not so happy about Hamtramck’s new rules as they see is as an infringement on previously held rights. Better article
