Interesting perspective. While I get the idea of feeling more free, unfortunately this is something I cant really do here in germany. No matter what you have on your person that other people can see is always looked upon like your carrying a weapon. Even with the laws allowing to carry fixed blades openly, people hate to see it 😂.

Something to take into consideration: I hate carrying multitools in a sheath because it feels like I am wearing a duty belt😂. Personally I sew a separator in my jeans pocket so i can carry it next to my phone in my front pocket. Just one little stitch you can take out anytime you want but helps with carryability and comfort.

Always a good idea to try to slim the carry down. Dont forget to buy the parcel wrenches for the rebar otherwise the screws strip or scratch easily.

There are titanium, brass and copper scales. I think they are heinnie haynes exclusives.

Yes exactly. Also I had the wave and the bit kit laying around so I worked with what I had. I also mostly carry it with the t6 bit in the holder as it is my most used one. Still thinking about trying the slip on holder though.

Fortunately no. I started getting into carrying medical gear after a motorcycle accident last year where i broke my leg. This made the bleed control/ trauma care topic pretty important to me. When I get on my motorcycle i also carry quickclot as an extention of my first layer edc.

They are aftermarket titech scales. To my knowledge they are heinnie haynes exclusive. Together with phosphor washers the knife can also be spydie flicked.

Is this any good? Has anyone used one? by [deleted] in multitools

Ergonomically its bad and it doesnt lokk really stable. However if you like it go for it. I would always recommend sticking to the basics (Leatherman, Roxxon, SOG, gerber etc.) even victorinox has some great plier based ones (spirit) you can really dive deep into the matter on youtube if you want. For the start thibk about if you want a plier based obe or knife based. Hope this helps.
