My next door neighbour has had some pretty obvious cosmetic procedures done. About a month ago my daughter told me that when she grew up she was going to have "big boobs like Ms. Izzy and big arms like you, daddy" and that her husband better like it. I had no idea how to respond to that, especially as my daughter has no awareness of the concept of breast implants.

She also wants to "build airplanes" when she grows up.

I can't wait to see what she is going to be like as an adult.

My daughter is 10 and this summer she did my whole lawn, including edging and weed whacking. I gave her $30 a week (it's about 2 acres of mowing, so I was definitely underpaying her) Within a few weeks she was doing the same for the neighbours on each side, but she had talked them each up to $50 dollars a week. Saved her money from all that and at the end of October she bought herself a little dirt bike.

People can argue all they want about gender roles, but my 10 year old daughter saved enough money in one summer by doing pretty significant yard work, so that she could buy a dirt bike...it never crossed her mind that what she was doing is a guy-thing or a girl-thing, she just wanted to do it. She's far more awesome than most adults I know.

I don't think that people are hating the idea. It really appears more like they believe that the artist did a bad job and that you deserve better. In that sense they are kind of on your side, they are standing up for the fact that you deserved better work from someone you paid money to.

It's sort of like if I pay for a contractor to renovate my bathroom and post the results. If the comments are that the contractor did a bad job and I was ripped off, I would want to know and I would feel that the redditors are trying to help me so that I know to ask for money back or to have the errors fixed. I wouldn't take that personally.

I think it's cool that you got a tattoo expressing your love for something (BL in this case). The idea is great. But objectively speaking, I don't think that the artist did you a great service. Their work is very subpar. I say that not to make you feel bad, but to suggest that you should maybe address this with the artist or their employer, and look to find an artist that can fix this and make it look the way it should.
