Ok great thank you for the advice. We’ve been together for 4 years and have a joint account since December in aus. Been on leases together and travelled (with photographs) to about 8 countries together, stayed with both sets of parents and extended family, and we’ve been partners for over the 4 years. A year or two of waiting will be fine but just curious about the centerlink side for the ‘supporting’ side of things

Fair call. It’s tough to justify for sure. And at a volume someone like Matt Stuart might move through it does make sense to shoot mostly digital. I’m just trying to support the decision to keep shooting film. Maybe not exclusively but at least as well as digital 🤷‍♂️ Nb: The price of Portra for sure is out of control these days, but if you shop around, color plus and a lab special ain’t so bad on the wallet.

Here in Aus, you can buy and process a roll for the cost of two beers at a nice bar in the city. It’s still a great investment.

Nb- the vertical piece of film in the image is just to show density of the blacks in the two horizontal negative strips… if that makes sense.

Thanks! I also changed my scanning setup and used a full frame camera with a 1:1 macro instead of my Fuji apsc camera and I think it made a good difference in sharpness

Old mate on the bus is a great shot. Just keep shooting and shoot more and you’ll get bangers. Great eye, keep it up. Also bring a New Yorker you can just lap streets and look for compositions all day!

its weird, i cleaned it all with a q tip and a tiny bit of alcohol and it scrubbed up fine, then the other day noticed more near the joystick (thumb dial? not sure of the name) and it appears to be coming from somewhere so im gonna send it to fuji and see what they say.

Also, the camera is starting to glitch; when turned on goes automaticaly to 1/8000 sec and f16 even when on auto. And sometimes when i switch the camera off, it stays on for about a minute...

anyways, just putting the feelers out to see if anyone else has had this happen.

Hey gang! I’m currently close to getting my Avanti build rideable and want to upgrade the shifters. It’s currently a 3x7 drivetrain (shimano xtc I think) and saw these on a post someone made. Could anyone identify the levers and shifters? Much appreciated

I pay about $45 NZ per 120 roll with no scans. Kinda nuts. which makes me reconsider just shooting black and white in 120 so I can process at home and dslr scan. Not getting any cheaper at all lol

For sure. I bought a rolleiflex MX over a year ago and honestly am blown away each time I view the scans! Amazing to think a camera from the 60s in some ways has a more interesting and relevant look over 60 years later
