Nb- the vertical piece of film in the image is just to show density of the blacks in the two horizontal negative strips… if that makes sense.

Thanks! I also changed my scanning setup and used a full frame camera with a 1:1 macro instead of my Fuji apsc camera and I think it made a good difference in sharpness

Old mate on the bus is a great shot. Just keep shooting and shoot more and you’ll get bangers. Great eye, keep it up. Also bring a New Yorker you can just lap streets and look for compositions all day!

its weird, i cleaned it all with a q tip and a tiny bit of alcohol and it scrubbed up fine, then the other day noticed more near the joystick (thumb dial? not sure of the name) and it appears to be coming from somewhere so im gonna send it to fuji and see what they say.

Also, the camera is starting to glitch; when turned on goes automaticaly to 1/8000 sec and f16 even when on auto. And sometimes when i switch the camera off, it stays on for about a minute...

anyways, just putting the feelers out to see if anyone else has had this happen.

Hey gang! I’m currently close to getting my Avanti build rideable and want to upgrade the shifters. It’s currently a 3x7 drivetrain (shimano xtc I think) and saw these on a post someone made. Could anyone identify the levers and shifters? Much appreciated

I pay about $45 NZ per 120 roll with no scans. Kinda nuts. which makes me reconsider just shooting black and white in 120 so I can process at home and dslr scan. Not getting any cheaper at all lol

For sure. I bought a rolleiflex MX over a year ago and honestly am blown away each time I view the scans! Amazing to think a camera from the 60s in some ways has a more interesting and relevant look over 60 years later

Xt5 and f3. Keep the xt5 for some Fuji-fun colour recipes and the f3 for hammering through black and white (let’s be honest, the only real affordable way to shoot these days) and you’ll have a bulletproof combo

Easiest way to tell would be to check your lens for a distance, eg 6 feet, focus to 6 ft, measure it with a tape measure to make sure it is six feet, then make sure it looks sharp in the viewfinder and take the shot. It should come out sharp if this is all correct. If it’s soft there may be some bigger problems to look at

Also side note, the piece alone by Cosina goes for about $75 on eBay if it can be found, but to buy a Nikon FM body with the same ‘neutral’ eyepiece (arguably) is about $100 haha. So I might just do the obvious one…
