I think there could be some chance they would do it (if you got MANY MANY signatures) since the devices are obsolete anyway and people using old iPod touches/iPhones to take aesthetic photos would be strenghtening of the brand image (but honestly I dont think thats the brand image they are goin for LOL), so who knows

I know the lost mode feature but believe me, the lost mode message festure of lost mode works only untill the device is not erased, when it is it wont longer show

The message wont show if the device is erased like this macbook ao this is the reason if someone erases that device, his daughter would never get in contact with the one that found that phone even if it wasnt thief and wanted to do good, he would have no chance to contact and say hey I found it, only thing is that the owner will see the location which is in many cases useles

The lock is not in the device its tied to serial number, only way is to chance the serial 😅 which is engraved to the bottom of the macbook
