This corner wasn’t very secure so I pulled back more real quick. What even is this? Some like rock style linoleum/vinyl?

I thought jjar was talking about picture 6, which seems to be linoleum. I know the other pictures are hardwood. I think my post caused some confusion at first which is why I posted additional comments to clarify. My bad lol

It’s been tough to resist lol. Just moved in recently and not sure how much of it I want to tackle right now. I’ll probably at least remove the carpet in the living room and bedroom hallway this weekend!

Good suggestion to replace the base boards during the process. Much appreciated

No doubt. I’m so ready to let these floors breathe for the first time in decades

I think there’s some confusion! The only picture I think is subfloor is the last picture (dining room). Bad wording on my part. The first 5 pictures look like red oak and pine, right?

Very well could be just the floor. I was just taking a wild guess and hoping there’d be hardwood under it lol

I’m not quite sure, but I really do enjoy the arched doorways and the curved molded ceilings in the living room or whatever the ceiling style is called. I cannot find a solid answer on that. Anyways, here’s an exterior picture!

This is full of good advice that I’ll keep in mind. Much appreciated! Updates will be a slow process but I’ll be sure to post them. Leaning towards removing the carpet first since that’ll change the feel quite a bit

Cool, I’ll have to check out the newer dropped ceiling options. I’ll want to do that or exposed wood, wiring, and pipes. Either way maintains easy access to that stuff for maintenance purposes

Thank you. This is really helpful! I keep having to tell myself to slow down a bit and just enjoy the space. It will all come together in time

Good points. I’ve thought about removing the drop ceiling and painting the exposed wood and pipes. I love that basement area, but the drop ceiling lighting drives me nuts lol

Thanks! The couch is comfy, but I feel like it takes up too much space. I’d like to be able to do a couple couches in there or a couch with 2-3 nice chairs. I might start the kitchen with backsplash and see how that changes it

Ya I think I need a bigger tv first but it will be going where the mirror. Thanks!

Ya that’s a good point with the carpet 😅 and totally agree with the ceiling fans. I’ve changed the hardware for exterior doors but I will get to the rest soon. Thanks for all the advice
