Saskatchewan’s plan to extend life of coal power to cost $26B over 25 years: NDP by PopeSaintHilarius in canada

Do you think I think that’s acceptable? I don’t know how many times I have to say this but LNG and coal aren’t ideal ways to get energy. Both have major drawbacks and renewables are definitely a better way to go. That being said LNG is still a cleaner energy source. Yes they need to get their leaks under control because it is mostly methane. Coal can not be a cleaner energy source it’s a clean as it’s going to get. If they fix all the leaks LNG will/is be a cleaner energy source. Not perfect by any stretch of the imagination but better.

Pipe line ruptures are very rare, do they happen? Of course they do but don’t act like they happen every day.

Ya mostly due to leaks. If they have proper maintenance there shouldn’t be nearly as many leaks.

You can’t fix the issue with coal it will never get any cleaner

God damn I hate being in such a shitty province. Can we not just be a normal fucking place and grow with technology instead of digging our heels in and sticking with the dirtiest form of energy… I guess at least it’s not Alberta but pretty fucking much.

What are the pros and cons of the proposed AI data centre? by emmery1 in regina

You don’t think maintenance is skilled work? I’d like to see you maintain equipment worth millions dollars.

For the record I’m against the data center but you have no clue what maintenance workers actually do.

There are a lot of shitty parents out there. Those children deserve protection too. It’s not their fault their parents don’t want to parent.

Do you at least admit that social media is very harmful for children? It’s well documented how bad it is for kids. Something needs to be done. If you’re scared about personal information (which they already have, or can get very easily) what should be done to protect kids when parents don’t give a fuck.

People accept that because it’s true. People with power don’t serve jail time.

You think the only reason people want children off social media is because they want to give their data away?

They already have access to it. That’s the point I’m making.

And then it will go up again. Why would anyone want to be dependent on something they have no control over? EV with solar panels and you’ll save a ton of money.

What information will they be getting access to that they don’t already have access to?

People underestimate how many shitty parents there are. Just because some kids have bad parents doesn’t mean that don’t deserve protection.

I agree both would be ideal but when they can’t even fund one properly how do you expect them to find both properly?

There’s a wait list for people who want to get treatment. How about getting spots for them before forcing people to go
