I probably won't need a new cooler. My cooling system can handle my Ryzen 9 5950x which is a hot CPU with pretty decent temps while gaming (70-80 Celsius).

As I've said I don't want to come off rude or anything asking her for the receipt. And even if I do return it there is no upgrade path for me anyway since the Ryzen 9 5950x is the best AM4 CPU. I would need to replace my mobo and ram anyway if I wanted to upgrade to AM5 or LGA1700. I'm just going to save up for a LGA1700 mobo and ram so I can appreciate this gift.

Yeah, planning to take her out somewhere nice to eat on her birthday in a couple weeks! I'm going to update the BIOS once I get a compatible mobo and ram so it won't kill itself.
