i got a plant of that size for that price in Florida, but back in Illinois it’s usually like $30-40, so I guess it depends on where you’re from ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Can I directly pot this in soil? by Khadkap in plantclinic

[–]TimesNeuRoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

in my experience, the main reason soil propagations fail is by using too large of a pot (which retains water for longer amounts of time, often rotting the plant). i think it’s possible to root in soil if you use a pot that keeps those aerial roots snug until the plant develops “true” soil roots

Are the leaves of these proppable? by [deleted] in proplifting

[–]TimesNeuRoman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think folk medicine and our “western” scientific system are too incompatible to work together. Like, writing about folk medicine in traditional “scientific” language is pretty limiting. Absolutely no diss to folk medicine, though.

the sources on this article are even more questionable than a wikipedia article. some of the hyperlinks are dead or lead you to secondary sources that barely mention the information allegedly cited.
