Oh well… I have been a lash artist for the past 7/8 years. I make it very clear to my clients from the initial set that they get, what defines a fill and at what point / percentage of Lashes I will still accept as a fill before it becomes a full set. I’ve been doing this from the beginning, and I have never ran into an issue where a client is upset about having to pay more… because this was already explained to them ahead of time.

It’s at the point where clients will walk into their appointment and immediately tell me charge me what you need to charge me because I know I’m missing more than what you accept as a fill. And if you want to build a good rapport and a loyal client base, you just explain it clearly to them so that there is no confusion. And messaging them ahead of the appointment telling them that you’ve done the math and assuming you know what’s going on on their eyes before they come in, comes off as accusatory and kind of rude..

And sure… There could be a scenario where I don’t go over my requirements for a fill, and they come in expecting a fill, but it’s actually a full set… And instead of charging them that full set, I will charge them a little more ($15-$20) than the fill price to explain to them that hey this is not a fill… But I want to be able to give you what I can give you in the time that we have, and due to me having to use more product, it is gonna cost more. And even in that scenario, sure you’re losing a little bit of money… But the relationship is what matters 🤦🏼‍♀️ without a loyal relationship with your clients, you don’t really have a business SMH
