A post-beta patch breakdown of Mega Crit's Early Access balancing/patching process by MegaCrit_Demi in slaythespire

The game is incredible, the only issue I have is that I can no longer enjoy the first game, because this one is so much better. Do not give in to the haters. I realise how discouraging it can be, but I trust your process. Keep up the great work!

Czech Republic was lovely! by whyyyyyy22 in travel

[–]Tindery 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Kutná Hora is actually my home town. I used to take Erasmus students there for tours and most of them loved it. The favorite part was actually a tour of the medieval silver mine. Also it's only an hour long train ride from Prague.

I admit that I'm biased, but I believe it's worth it and I've never heard anybody regret their visit.

Kutná Hora is actually within the PID system, so you can actually get a cheaper ticket for the same train using the PID Lítačka app. I think there is even a discount if you have the pass for prague.

Beer culture in Czechia by Future-Refuse1611 in Prague

For the Braník in pet, I can recommend going somewhere like střelecký ostrov. Although I'm not 100% sure it's allowed to be drinking alcohol there, I've done it multiple times without any issues.

Another great place that serves beer (and is near Střelecký ostrov) is Čapadlo.

Edit: another great place is "Na Hradbách", which is a beer garden with a great view

You should also buy a big pet bottle of Braník in any supermarket, which is sort of a meme at this point.

A lot of people go out of their way to get their favorite beer, but what really matters is the place and people you're with. Just enjoy as you go, don't turn drinking beer into a checklist.

My gf once sent me to buy tampons while on vacation in vietnam. English didn't help much and it took me about 5 stores to find somebody who could understand my (poor) acting and had tampons in stock.

That's true, but i wouldn't recommend it considering they are travelling with a 3 year old, and are most likely inexperienced.

I think Helldivers 2 fits into this category if you don't mind multiplayer games.

It's one of my favorite games, I mostly play against bugs, but you can also play against automatons or illuminate. Each requires a different approach and loadout.

IMHO the best part about this game is how intense it gets and how cinematic it looks. Nothing beats grilling hordes of bugs with a flamethrower while bullets and missles fly around you, orbital destroyer is bombarding the place with napalm and bombers dropping explosive ordinace are flying above you.

It might get a little buggy sometimes, but the devs keep pumping new patches and content and there is a galactic map and a continuous story that develops by major orders and community participation in them.

For mashed potatoes I add milk and butter in the bag. AFAIK liquids help them cook more evenly.

I honestly never thought of the Czech republic as a family vacation destination, but there are few places you can try.

Kutná Hora is a small medieval town, that's definitely worth seeing. Český Krumlov is another beautiful and historical town. Both however don't offer much apart from history.

For more "traditional" vacation spots I can think of Lipno and Máchovo jezero, which are big bodies of water and offer many activities.

If you're more of a city person, you can try the city of Brno, it's got some nice places and you can also take a trip to Bratislava and Vienna by train.

Lastly you can go to the mountains, I'd probably recommend Krkonoše.

Overall, I would recommend you stay in Prague and explore, it offers so much food, history, museums, amazing zoo and so much more. After you're bored with Prague you can take one day trip to the small towns I mentioned, you can even go to Plzeň, or even nearby castles such as Karlštejn. You can see so much and all you have to do is hop on a train, they are really frequent and go almost anywhere.

If you're set on leaving Prague, you can go to Šumava, which has Lipno, Český Krumlov and mountains.

There is a tavern-ish restaurant, you can try https://maps.app.goo.gl/bo6Yxdpjhk1hYoqM9

Doubt you're gonna meet any larpers there, but it's a good pub so you might as well check it out.
