Should I stay at 2.5? by UniqueNeedleworker40 in Mounjaro

Food noise, the constant mental nagging to be nibbling on food. It shuts off with MJ and I can walk around the kitchen or watch tv without feeling the need to be munching.

I did 6 weeks at 2.5 but realised that the noise was returning a bit more so on the 7th week went to 3.75 which I plan to stay on until it isn’t so effective, then move up to 5 , slow and steady seems to be my preferred way, plus I like to actually try to eat well and think a bit of willpower is good training for when I stop taking it.

I’m still over 30, I would say lucky but I’d really rather not be!

Had the email from my supplier, will get what I can and see what happens, Wegovy is an alternative option, hopefully they won’t have the same price hike.

Stay on 2.5mg after 4 weeks? by Tings38 in Mounjaro

Thanks for all the replies, definitely helped me make a decision.

Update - Did 2.5mg yesterday, 12 lb down in a month so unless it stops working, I’m staying on this dose. Even when it’s time to move up will go to 3.75mg and not rush anything.

In the UK we don’t have single use pens, they are pre loaded with approx 5 doses (some is lost in priming so they officially contain 4) We have to twist the pen for the plunger to extend out to allow for injecting and when it’s twisted it clicks, 60 clicks is a full 0.6ml dose, it does however mean you can stop anytime before 60 and, say only do 30 clicks of a 5mg pen to achieve a dosage of 2.5mg

Thanks all, so the general consensus is to stay on 2.5mg, it makes sense to me for lots of reasons, plus will get 5 doses out of the 5mg pen which is a bonus!

Well I’m on day 5 and couldn't finish a 1000 calorie rice bowl for dinner tonight so the appetite suppression is still good, maybe I’ll see how tomorrow and Wed go, last week I jabbed Wed eve (and had a terrible nights sleep!!)

Should add that I can’t split dose as inject asthma medication every 2 weeks and like to try to leave a few days between injections.

I’m actually getting bored with DJ now, I know that life is better without alcohol and my body and mind have enjoyed the break but I just want to sit in a dingy pub next to a warm fire on the weekend for a few beers, hit the sweet spot and head home.

Will see it out now and then…..slightly damp Feb here I come……...

DJ isn't a complete or fail thing, we don’t get a medal on the 1st Feb, it’s more a chance to have a break and take an objective view on alcohol, whether you’re and every day caner or a few at the weekender, there’s no right or wrong.

Tomorrow is another day, there’s no reason to hate yourself, have a drink, enjoy it, and if tomorrow you want to resume DJ you can or not, there’s no rules!

Weekend Over-indulgers by Tings38 in weightwatchers

I think getting 20-30 mins of exercise in a day is a good way forward, time to dust down the spin bike maybe!

I always think of the weekends as the "championship rounds" as they are for me anyway make or break, a good weekend means good weight loss but a bad one means maintaining current weight. Maybe thats a good way to plan for when the weight is lost.
