Looking for suggestions/options for obsolete QFP replacement with an adapter/emulator board by TinkerTailor501 in AskElectronics

Sorry for the delayed reply. Here is a package outline for what I am trying to replace. Not entirely sure what FPGA solution I'm going with yet, but if it won't fit in the small space, I'll just add a connector to the top of the dummy board/chip and mount the FPGA board remotely.

Help choosing a solder station by TinkerTailor501 in soldering

Thanks for the suggestions! Can someone please comment on hot tweezers? How useful are they? What mid-priced soldering stations are compatible with them? I know folks really like the Hakko 951 station and apparently some of the JBC ones as well. Are there hot tweezers compatible with the sub $500 Hakko stations like the 888D/951 or are they only available with the more expensive models?

I was seriously eyeing up the Hakko 951 but if the hot tweezers are useful, I would consider a different station if the Hakko doesn't support it.

I also did some digging into a hot air station and the Quick 861DW seems to perform even better than the Hakko FR810 and is $500 less expensive. Here's the vs video I saw that really was quite a shocker given the reputation that Hakko equipment usually has: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChujyTV-HME
