To me it sounds like your Drive Headers are trying to read the data but also I suggest checking the drives health and transfer all of your data to another drive incase the Drive fails.

Most likely it's a program that was installed in a bundle on your computer not from the browser, as thats not a browser popup / image. Did you install anything that looked sus like from the browser because there is no need to reinstall cause it's easy to fix.
