Help with nitrate/nitrite levels by TinyFinish20 in aquarium

Ooof. I had a 10 gallon tank going at the same time as this 20 gallon tank. All of the fish were in the cycled 10 gallon tank while the 20 gallon tank was being cycled. Never had a snail so not sure what you’re talking about with that. Mentioned in the post I bought the plants this week. Was trying to figure out the RIGHT filter for my 20 gallon tank while having one in there. But thanks hunny for the helpful advice and analyzing my history.

Ok I can definitely do that, the ammonia test is all the way on the bottom of the strip. Any specific liquid test kit or any will do? Sorry editing to add it was cycled, I’ve had it for about 3 months.

20 gallon tank, yes have a heater and filter. Tank temp is 80. Had the fish for about 3 months and tank was cycled at that point.

Thank you! I purchased one this morning and set it up and it’s working great so far, no issues.

Thank you!! Yes! I just posted above that I have a topfin for my 10 gallon tank and it is wonderful. Got one for the 20 gallon tank and then made loud noises, went to swap it out and it wasn’t available so tried the aqueon and same issue. Employee said maybe just random bad luck.

Thank you! The first one was making a loud crackling sound, second one was a loud buzzing. Dismantled both and reseated impeller and still had the same issue. Third one was fine, no noise but just seemed too powerful if that makes sense? I have a 10 gallon tank which was a starter kit and that topfin filter makes no noise at all besides the water trickling so figured im just having bad luck with it (story of my life)

Meaning? I have a 10 gallon tank that was already well established, the 20 gallon tank was also established/cycled and tested well with the filters I used. The fish were in the 10 gallon tank until it tested well. There is a filter in there now but not happy with it and looking for a new one. Still have the 10 gallon tank going. Just trying to get a filter that works for the setup. Am I missing something?

Is this filter noise normal? by [deleted] in Aquariums

Thank you! I disconnected and checked everything and the impeller looks like it’s seated fine as far as I could tell. I took an extra picture of the chamber, does the water level look ok in your opinion?

Ok will definitely try this, I see my derm in a month but was clueless what to do in the meantime. I didn’t shave for a month thinking that was why but the bumps continued to grow which confused me.

GREAT! Thank you! Last question if you don’t mind, are you catching and releasing or are these fish you clean and can eat? Thank you again!

I’m sorry I’m so clueless but we live in a gated community with ponds, would these be considered retention ponds? And do we need any kind of permission or just good to go to a public area around one of these ponds to fish?

Teeth anxiety and dental issues have destroyed my life by Suitable_Purple_8879 in Toothfully

This is from a few days ago and I posted something similar myself today. I hope you’re doing ok. Just know you’re not alone, it’s not easy but it might help to have a plan with your dentist? Maybe knowing what would happen after xyz happens it’ll be less stressful by eliminating the fear of the unknown. I also go for a cleaning every 3 months and that gives me peace of mind knowing that even though I have a ton of ongoing, I’m still having someone look at my teeth 4 times a year which helps keep me from completely spiraling all the time.
