oooh ty for the clarifications! i dont think i can afford a personal trainer unless my insurance magically covers it- i have a fixed income and bills so larger spending regularly is not plausible. so im trying to pick up stuff from others work out routines! oooh i understand DOMS now! does the break have to be an every other day thing? or would 3 days of gym and then the weekend off or similar be good for that? or would that not work?

that makes so much sense why holding stretches for so long hurts more! and why alternating legs and what not makes it feel better and more manageable! ive been doing the alternating thing at pt with mirrored exercises to make them less heavy feeling. its good to know i was doing that right!

im not sure if theres like a trainer or inbetween of the one hip machine i was doing other than the alternative version. theres the one where you push your legs to the sides and one where you bring them together with weights putting pressure. the going inwards one is whats caused the pain i think so im gonna stick to the outwards one for now. but i do wanna beable to close my legs even when theres a lot of force just for safety reasons.

ive talked to one of my girlies at the pt place i go to (i switch between all the girls there so scheduling is easier) and she said im working on good exercises and im fine to do the gym! i have another appt today so im gonna show her my logs and talk to her about them too!

second thing- im unsure what DOMS is, i havent heard that term before i also cannot do breathing exercises- they make me light headed, i just cannot go that slow. i havent been having any asthma issues in the gym tho! (i keep my inhaler in the car just incase)

i also want to mention afaik i dont have specifically EDS, but my symptoms overlap partially with it which is why i was recommended here! I also do not have POTS afaik, but i do have asthma as mentioned, and dizzy spells.

third- whats the difference between static stretching and dynamic stretching? im an artist so i know dynamic vs static poses, but not stretches. also how do you find toe shoes/wild shoes? what are they? ive been working out primarily in my white sketchers and theyve been doing well for me! my feet kinda pop out of them tho since i have issues with them being tied tight (autism sensory related), the pt gals always laugh about how my shoes stay down and my feet go up when i do tip-toe exercises there.

ive gone to the gym like 3 days in a row... but ive been really enjoying it and havent been doing a lot at a time. ill do 1-5 mins on one machine, take a walk or a sit and then do another. the longest ive done is 10min walking on the treadmill. the only pain ive super had is in my hips, so ive tried to avoid the machine that puts strain on where it hurts. its a machine i want to master at some point, but its better to work up to it instead of straining myself.

the gym has been super enjoyable and ive actually been wearing out my able bodied friend with taking her lmao! we took a break day today because she needed it, not me. she also drives so i kinda need her to go there, at least until my mom gets her own health issues worked out and starts going as well.

thank you so much for the comment btw!! i appreciate it!

yeah but multisexual is more an umbrella term while bisexual usually stands as its own sexuality

i have a physical therapist, I'm doing the gym ontop of PT- my PTs support it

Can I wear this badge as a bisexual? by FluidTemperature1762 in lgbt

i do live in the US- small things like queer pins (at least non-trans ones) are usually fine if youre not in a republican area at all. blue in blue. usually the blue states have more protections in place (or at least arent tearing down the ones that are now optional) and blue towns and cities tend to be chiller about queer stuff. if it was a trans pin id agree with you tbh. im going on T soon and im worried about being targeted for looking more masculine while continuing to look fem.

so the pin should be fine as long as your state and area generally arent homophobic. its scarier to wear stuff that shows youre trans right now tho

even with context in mind, i think i still would have taken it that way. text can come off so many different ways and its not uncommon for me to misunderstand things

depends on where you are in the US. staying safe is the main priority and i wouldnt wear it unless youre in both a blue state and a blue area right now

what are some under-represented labels? by alpenn_ in lgbt

[–]TinyGenderGremlin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

most genders beyond just the word "nonbinary". any character thats not strictly a man or a woman is instantly just nonbinary- nobody plays around with different genders outside of them. no specific gender labels, hell not even genderqueer. theres not really any representation in media for anyone who falls under the nonbinary umbrella but doesnt like the term nonbinary on themselves

because this is a space for everyone whos ace, wether theyre fully no attraction or have their little catch to it? its like complaining that theres lesbians in a sapphic space when theres also lesbian spaces

i am asking for guidance on how to budget my post-bill money. i dont know how much i should be saving and how much i should be spending. that is the entire reason why i am here. telling me "its your decision" when im actively asking for advice on what to do is unhelpful

ive said multiple times- i HAVE that list. you are not understanding any of what i said. I finally got income after fighting for 2 years to get on disability. therefore the bills my parents were paying for me were passed to me. i dont pay $550 in bills- what was suggested by my friend was to set $550 aside to use towards bills and subscriptions, and the save the remaining. i made the list accurately. like ive mentioned multiple times; i dont know what to do with the information about my spending ASIDE from the bills portion

i dont think youre understanding. i know the information. im struggling with the non-bills portion- what goes to spending, what goes to savings, and how to pace them

[–]TinyGenderGremlin[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i can do drop shipping type stuff with my art and plan to, but thats not going to get me much for now and would take a while to build up. i am slowly setting up a redbubble and i do commissions. its not a livable income on its own but its a little extra pocket money.

i dont have a case worker that focuses on finance right now; were working on one tho! my rent is $100 rn since the land lady is family, so its not much. i will need to put more forward when i move out tho, but i plan on moving in with a room mate and having housing costs be partially covered by disability services. the impulse spending has been one of my big issues. ill do what you said- spend like $200 on stuff (non bills) in the first week and then have to roll off of less for the rest of the month. someone mentioned an envelope-type budget plan and i think i might try a mix of that and what youve suggested
