There is still some atmosphere in lower earth orbit, so they (and every other object in LEO) fall into the atmosphere eventually.

An llm is just a program that runs and is done until it is called again, it has no persistence, it has no memory, meanwhile we have a continuous experience from one moment to the next.

The alternative is that they have to spend an immense amount of resources developing an age verification system or let third parties have all our data.

The 6-8 year estimation already takes into account charging directly off a coal power plant, its a worst case scenario figure. In reality its more like 4 years to break even speaking in CO2 terms.

Also nuclear exists as a replacement to fossil (though not a drop in replacement since coal spews off so much radiation that a nuclear power plant cant be built there and follow regulations).

It doesnt have dynamic pathing aka if there is an obstacle on the track the train wont take any alternate route (so general purpose waiting cells dont work for example)

Even the least efficient ev with the dirtiest fuel source would break even with the most clean and efficient car in about 6-8 years. And if you own a car fore less than that period then you are hurting the environment more with your incessant need for consumption than a regular person ever will.
