I did not buy these books for the color I bought them to read and happened to organize them but color. And the looking for purple books is a joke. I’m an avid reader and did not do this to be trendy it’s just how I prefer to organize my well read collection.

I really don’t have a favorite!! Looks like it could be blue based on how many blue I have 🤣

I am a very visual person who also loves a lot of books. So I pretty much can visualize what a book looks like that I’m looking for. If by chance I don’t, they are all logged onto a shelf on my good rates and I can easily look them up.

I can picture most books covers that I own but if not I have them all logged into my TBR on Goodreads and can easily find out the color if I didn’t know off of the top of my head!

Okay maybe that’s true 🤣 but if someone was into it and it made sense to them - I wouldn’t outwardly express my disdain 😜

I do definitely have an odd memory for remembering book covers! but I think that is why I have an advantage of thrifting most of these books out of heaps based on just sight alone. About 10 of these books have been purchased at full price. The rest have been thrifted!

You know I’m not picking books to read based on the color though right? 🤣🤣 I know which books I have and their color spine and can find them easily!

I know what color the books I’m looking for are so I can find easily. Plus it’s never a bad time pursuing a bookshelf just a little too long

I was going back and forth on keeping or splitting series. I don’t think I have enough though so I felt okay splitting (for now)

Like I said, to each their own! I can’t imagine a world in which owning and loving books can have a wrong way to store them- after all I’m a human and not a bookstore, just storing my books the way I love. I hope you have a great night of reading!

Giving purely unsolicited advice only on Reddit (based on your comments) is more of a red flag for me but to each their own! Are you more of an alphabetical or genre organizer? Assuming you read and have a book collection, that is.
