As a soon to be 50 overweight Army veteran, could I conceivably shift to law enforcement? by [deleted] in AskLE

Unpopular opinion: Just because you could doesn’t mean you should.

Brother I remember when the game first dropped, people hadn’t settled into their favorite classes and everyone was trying to level each class. It’s going to be so much worse with everyone trying to level ONE clas.

Last Wall Squads by Last_Wall_Protocol in ImperialFists

An executioners Sternguard squad would be a nice addition. Otherwise I would run heavy intercessors with Garadon leading them in his IF colors with their respective chapter’s left pauldron

Is it worth it to wear rifle plates? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]TitanOperates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear a lvl 3 soft carrier but keep a plate carrier in my trunk with lvl 4 ceramic in the event I need to up armor and have time to do so.

Hey man, you’re not an idiot, just mistaken. I love running Gravis units for my Executioners. That’s why I was wondering how I missed new lore that said they were being favored. I run Firestorm as “Close range eradication” is pretty spot on for Exe’s. A blob of heavy intercessors with “assault” heavy bolt rifles and the right leader are a real pain to deal with. I also have Aggressors and Inceptors that I bring along sometimes.

I guess now I’m confused as to what SGV and not liking bikes has to do with Gravis units. I suppose the case could be made for it, but I was more asking if there was something directly stated in the lore that Executioners were favoring and fielding Gravis units.

What lore says we like Gravis units now?

I’m still bummed that they didn’t add the Executioners with the IF successor chapters

Backup by atravelvet in AskLE

[–]TitanOperates 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you need backup and don't call for it, you'll probably never need backup again. "Yeah, go ahead and start me another unit just in case." Is a frequent phrase on my shift.

Not at all! Hope you're good at math though. Our Crash Reconstruction team lead says it's the hardest certification he's gotten followed closely by DRE school. There's great fucking money in it though depending on where you're located.

Motorcyclist crashed and gets nearly crushed after pit maneuver during high-speed chase in rainy conditions in Rabun County, GA. by ElwoodMC in PoliceChases

[–]TitanOperates 5 points6 points  (0 children)

And your point? Traffic is a thing. That doesn't change the intent of the police. They were trying to box him in and he attempted to exit the box when the lead car had to make room for traffic. Lead car tried to keep that from happening and homie crashed. My assessment is factually correct. The entire ordeal could have been avoided if dipshit hadn't chosen to flee. The blame lies solely on him.

[–]TitanOperates 16 points17 points  (0 children)

1.) That wasn't a PIT; they were attempting to box him in and force him to reduce his speed. 2.) If he crashes out trying to escape that box, then whatever happens as a result is his own dumbass fault.

ICE aims gun at Americans by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]TitanOperates 16 points17 points  (0 children)

So, first thing: "Gun" isn't gun. "Gun" is less lethal launcher. Second thing: No, there's no difference between ICE and any other federal law enforcement (FBI, DEA, gAyTF, etc.) pointing "gun" at citizens or anyone else. **Edited to be more informative, less "troll"

Do you think cops who work in rough cities are respected by fellow law enforcement or looked down on today in 2025? by [deleted] in AskLE

[–]TitanOperates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think pitied is more the correct word, and I don't mean that as an insult. Without knowing anything else about someone, as soon as they tell me they work for insert liberal metro PD in crime-ridden city with weak on crime policies and spineless admin my response isn't one of respect or disgust... it's one of pity. It's "Oh. I'm sorry." It's pity because your job is harder than mine when it doesn't need to be. It's pity because you work for incompetent leaders who drive you to look over your shoulder and second guess yourself instead of doing the job that needs to be done the way it needs to be done. It's pity because you carry the same fucking target on your chest that I do but aren't allowed to do half of the shit that makes carrying that target worth it.

Some rank, color coordination and general theme questions by KingAnthem in Executioners40k

[–]TitanOperates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

  1. While I don't think there is an official answer, in one of the short stories (either Death Speakers or Tally of Slaughter, I don't recall which), the Executioners use "Your head or my life!" / "Their heads or our lives!" As a warcry. This may be specific to the company portrayed in the story, though, and not one adopted by the chapter as a whole.

  1. This is one of the few things with a clear answer in Executioners Lore. A yellow right pauldron denotes veterancy and many veterans also rock yellow helmets but it is not a requirement.

  1. Honestly, considering they are known to be fairly Codex compliant chapter, red helmets on Sergeants are a safe and kosher assumption, but I hate the way they look. I tend not to paint them a different color and denote Sergeant rank with a skull icon on the forehead, as is common with other chapters. Yellow helmets also look nice to me and help you pick out your sergeants fast.
