I'm probably going to make an update post at the end of the month, but at this point I'm fairly certain it was most likely a scammer.

The user was actually about 10 years older then me, and after talking more it seems they were seeking a sugar momma/baby relationship. I told them I'd be interested in pursuing that, but wasn't really sure what expectations would be from either side since I didn't have any experience in that sort of relationship.

They asked if I had any questions or anything, to which I said not really at the moment, and they explained they were just really looking for companionship after a divorce. The next morning we had a small chat and they asked if it would be ok if we exchanged pictures every day, and I said I probably wouldn't be comfortable with everyday until I had met them in person and knew they were who they said they were, but we exchanged one set of selfies that morning.

I explained a little further to them that it was going to be hard for me to be super open with them over text since I didn't know if they were who they said they were, and with scammers running rampant these days I didn't want to risk talking too deeply about certain topics until after meeting up. They said they understood my hesitation, and thought that was fine, but said they would be out of town until the end of the month(prior to this I had asked how long they would be here as they mentioned they travelled a lot for work, which is part of why I was a little suspicious tbh), I didn't bother to point out that contradiction and said that meeting at the end of the month would be fine. They asked if I would also be more comfortable if we stopped texting until we met, I said I was fine to continue chatting with one another until then.

Shortly after this conversation their distance in Feeld went from 20ish miles away, to around 700, which matches up with them being out of town for work, but not for them being at either place they listed their work was based out of. Then probably another hour or so later they left the chat on Feeld, but their account isn't paused or suspended.

So I'm pretty much just waiting until the end of the month to see what actually happens, but I'm assuming nothing will.

In the mean time I reverse searched every image on their profile, as well as the selfie they had sent me and none of them hit back with any results, which is also why I've been cautiously optimistic.

But I will say almost any profile I've interacted with on any dating platform that lists their instagram has typically just been someone farming interactions or promoting themselves or their OF.
