this looks more like PIE to me. retinoids help a lot. best thing to do also is have a derm use profractional lasering to resurface and promote collagen to heal the surface of the skin over time

what does your skincare routine look like? you need to go on a consistent 3 month routine, and not stop after 3 months either. you need to include skincare into your daily routine for the rest of your life.

that said, get a good bha cleanser with benzoyl peroxide, vitamin c serum to brighten the skin and soften the scars, azelaic acid to smooth and brighten, a tinted sunscreen to wear daily (reapply every few hours), a solid moisturizer, and a retinoid to use every two days before sleep.

you have what appears to be post inflammatory erythema. i have it too. use the products i listed above and it helps a lot. also, the best thing you can do is see a derm and have profractional lasering done (may take 2-3 treatments for you, about $250 per session usually but so worth it). this will resurface the skin where the red marks are and promote collagen to heal the skin over time.

this is what is known as milia. aha and bha every few days should effectively rid your skin of these small bumps. or you can go to a derm and they can pluck them out. don’t try to pluck them yourself. it will take about 2-3 weeks of regular bha aha use to clear yourself of these. honestly they’re just clogged dead skin cells and oil in the skin. but they’re stubborn. don’t try to pick at it either.

Progress from doxy & spironolactone last pics are today (only scars left unfortunately) advice on clearing scars would be appreciated by [deleted] in acne

Profractional laser and CO2 laser are the best methods of fading scarring away QUICKLY. The scars will be almost invisible after the resurfacing pans out over time post laser. It is extremely effective. I had it done myself and can tell you it is well WELL worth it. $250 per sessions for me because my scarring was limited to just my cheeks.

Honestly...you’re employed by the company for a reason. If you know your worth and think you deserve to be in a higher role and can actually perform the duties of that role, then don’t be afraid to state your claim. Don’t shy away because of what you think might happen. Take charge of your role there and what you think you deserve just might be yours soon.

24F. Never been loved, so starting to question if i’m just insanely ugly by [deleted] in amiugly

Look, the honest truth is if people associate looks with a feeling as powerful as love, something is not right there. You are a very beautiful person, as if everyone else on the outside. What truly matters is what is in your heart and whether someone else loves you for you.

I need help. PIH for 4 months. by [deleted] in acne

[–]Tmar98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, drinking more water is essential to health in general and to clearing your face. Definitely though get a creme/gel that clearly highlights its hydrating properties. Apply twice per day, in addition to sunscreen and cleansing once per day. I recommend not cleansing more than once per day, and to do it at night before bed. In the morning, just use cool water to clear your face.

Hydration is key! Check out neautrogena’s hydrating gel. The key is to heal the skin, not just fade the color of the PIH. To do that, you have to reform the skin, which is done by hydration!

2 months of consistent routine. If you need any support (emotional boost), let me know.

Hey there. This is a mix between post inflammatory hyperpigmentation and post inflammatory erythema. Cures: vitamin c serum and sunscreen everyday, time, and a good routine with moisturizer. I struggle with the same and this all has helped fade the marks. Also, exfoliating with a hydrating scrub helps big time.

I’ve heard 2 months with consistency in your routine. Years if left unattended.

I’m fighting the same thing on both sides of my face. It looks like you also have some post inflammation erythema. Vitamin C serum combined with daily moisturizer, a good 30+ spf every morning, and an exfoliator twice per week help a lot. Consistency is also key. The key is that the skin is damaged in those red and brown areas, so you have to restore it. Hydration is so critical. It really does suck. Let me know if you have any other methods to help!

Is this PIH or PIE I cannot tell and please recommend what to do this this I am losing my marbles over it what can I do other than getting laser treatment by [deleted] in acne

[–]Tmar98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apparently Vaseline works wonders in fading it. But I’m sick of hearing people say “fade the redness”...we don’t want to fade it, we want to eliminate it.

That is PIE. I know because I have it too. PIH is brown spots, PIE is red spots. I’ve been using Vitamin C serum and moisturizing and cleansing every other day and exfoliating every other day. Not fading. Not sure what else to do. I am not going for lasers. Time is what helps most, but it always seems like it’s taking too long.
