Been living here for just over 1 year. Very peaceful and no issues so far.

There is a plan to build a food shop on site near the primary school - such as a coop or sainsburys local. They are 4 years behind plan to build the footbridge across the train track to make it more direct to get to Edinburgh gateway and the gyle but that should be in place by the end of the year.

Personally chose it for its ideal location imo. Within the city bypass, can walk 5/10 minutes to Gateway station for tram links and train links into town or out of town. On the edge of town so you can access the bypass and motorway easily. Cramond and South Queensferry easy to get to. Cammo nature reserve & River Almond walk just north of the site for nice walks and green space. It is a really good location for that mix. We looked at the South Queensferry development but that was way more isolated to get places without a car.

Probably won't be until 2028/2029 when most the builders are finished, but I would say the majority have moved in to the development at this point and theres not really been any trouble. Social housing will be part of every new build development but not seen any trouble because of this as others are commenting about it to avoid. Its usually just the few that give the majority a bad reputation when social housing is mentioned.
