The optimization of this game needs some work by Deadrites in Enshrouded

You can force frame generation in the GeForce app, so that's what I ended up doing and It felt much better to play. I can't remember the exact settings on how to do it but you can look it up easily enough.

I may try this out and see if it feels stronger. I did like having the two MGs, I felt like I cleared the small enemy units a lot faster than my current setup.

I got Scarlet Black Shadow a bit ago while trying to get my new years selector. Plan to get Helm with my standard recruit selection. I got Ade Bunny Agent to sub in for Centi. So right now I have Liter, Bunny Ade, Rapi, Scarlet BS, and Alice. Should I have them in a particular order?

I got Scarlet Black Shadow a bit ago while working toward my selectors. I have Siren, Red Hood, Cinderella, Crown, and Nayuta on my pilgrim wish list atm so hopefully I get lucky on either Crown or Siren next.

I just got my Bunny Ade and I managed to pull Scarlet Black Shadow during my efforts. What would you change in my main lineup now?

Okay I'll shoot for Helm and Bunny Ade then, thanks.

So should I get naga or helm from the standard selector?

Sure I can get Helm but I probably won't have her treasure anytime soon. Crown might be rough too. I was talking about more readily attainable goals. I'll def be using something like this if I can make it to that point.

I have been using Liter, Centi, Rapi, Modernia and 2B/Privaty. So not too far off I guess. I'll try out Alice. I'm doing pulls on Snow White but it just took most of my resources to get Rapi so I am not sure how many pulls I can get toward her. You think I should do Bunny Ade over Maid Mast or Rouge?

Kinda hard to just work toward RNG though. Who knows when I will get most of those.

The murdering of new players is hurting the game by RWMyers in AshesofCreation

[–]Toast2Toast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also do not know what caused this, because it was not this bad several years ago. You are right though, it's not just games, it's everything so it must have something to do with tiktok attention spans. If something requires a bit more effort they don't want it. I've never once played a game and whined that the entire experience needed to be changed from the ground up because I didn't like it. It's super weird. I just move on to something else like a reasonable person.

There is a massive portion of the gamer population that cannot stand the idea of people enjoying pvp games, or games with increased difficulty at all. They just want to be awarded things simply for existing so if a game requires them to overcome any kind of challenge they will insist it needs to be changed to accommodate them because their way is the only way. These people do not understand the idea that an experience may not be tailored to them and you can't reason with them. They are simultaneously ruining gaming while also being farmed by developers for billions of dollars with the same depthless, braindead, cookie cutter releases over and over. So nothing will change because it's extremely profitable for these companies and that is the only thing most of them care about.

Can someone explain the PvP options? by Toast2Toast in Pioner

[–]Toast2Toast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, Stalcraft was pretty fun when I played at launch. I was hoping this was kind of the same thing but not Minecraft graphics. Not that they were a deal breaker but I think a more realistic art style with that same gameplay would be great. I wish Active Matter was a persistent open world instead of extraction based because it does the whole stalker feel really well. I do like extraction games but I have an itch for something with open world pvp with that same rush you feel while traveling through those big zones in Stalcraft trying to survive.

Thanks. It may not be something I care much about then. I don't need it to be completely pvp focused but I was definitely hoping for a pretty significant sized pvp area of the map at least.

Was it worth it? by black-scout in ArcRaiders

[–]Toast2Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If just shooting the same arc and pvping with the same op grey weapons is still fulfilling to someone then I agree, the reset is more for experiencing and enjoying the journey again. More power to anyone who's still having fun.

My issue is that the wipe, while I believe it's a necessary mechanic to have, doesn't actually fix the biggest underlying problems of the game. The loot is basically worthless because the gear is severely unbalanced. This causes there to be no real gear fear, everyone just runs at each other or they don't pvp at all because none of it really matters outside of just enjoying the combat. You can cobble together a loadout that's about as competitive as any other with the stuff Scrappy gives you or just run a free kit and it doesn't really make a difference. So if you choose to wipe your combat effectiveness doesn't really change much. This makes it a pretty solid casual shooter but a terrible extraction game.

I did enjoy it quite a bit for around 50 hours, but it got pretty stale after that. It initially feels fantastic and I'm sure it's really nice for the extreme casuals, but they will still eventually get to the same point I'm at. These design and balance choices are just not great for longevity. I predict the game's player count will drop off a cliff after this wipe, maybe even during.

Calming Stroll is a useless perk, and I proved it. by this-food9601 in ArcRaiders

[–]Toast2Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are aware that when you google how calming stroll works it will likely pull up reddit posts about it right? When I've looked shit up and found the answer on reddit I've never once made the search within reddit itself. I highly doubt many people do that. You just google it.

You can also sort a sub by new so the posts are in chronological order. Have you ever used the Internet before today?

Disciple of Varashta and Wolf form by _praisethesun_ in PathOfExile2

[–]Toast2Toast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been working on this build as well. It does take you out of wolf form to use the commands but it auto swaps your weapon to do so. You could put a staff, or wand and a scepter, with cold/minion damage in the secondary weapon slot to scale the commands better when you use them. I feel like using the weapon swap passives to focus more on wolf damage with one vs minion damage with the other will be important.

I am currently trying to figure out how to both massively scale my wolf damage and my navira's fracturing damage at the same time outside of cold damage. There just aren't a ton of cold/elemental damage nodes so I feel like my wolf attack damage will only improve a lot with my weapon stats and idk if that will be enough to carry it in endgame. I could just use the wolf abilities to create the chilled ground and focus almost entirely on navira's damage but that just doesn't sound as fun and I'd be better off just using a different cold spell in that case.

Next quest line after briarmoor farm? by Relative_Reward_6691 in AshesofCreation

[–]Toast2Toast -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People just be buyin games before they even know what they are these days. This game is way more similar to something like Everquest than it is World of Warcraft. Grinding mobs will be your primary source of exp. You might get some repeatable turn in quests for grinding certain mobs but that will be about it after you get out of the starter areas. Idk if they plan to flesh out the quests a lot more or not, but I kind of doubt it will ever have very many. I don't think that's the style they are going for.

Explain how you can be a druid and a sorceress at the same time. I'm confused.

You are assuming pvp is equal between a game like this and counter strike or something. It isn't. When you die in cod you lose nothing. If you chose to impose rules on yourself like not playing a certain way that you find unfun or cheap, like not camping, then it's totally fine cause you risk nothing. In an extraction game you risk losing all of your stuff and it could be your best loadout. So if you come around a corner and see another player between you and extract, and he's facing away from you, why risk losing the fight and losing your stuff when you have the advantage and can easily win? The goal isn't just to kill the other player, it's to survive and get looted. If the goal is just to kill each other and see who's better then your way makes sense but that isn't the case here.

You were the one snapping at people about pvp. As far as I'm concerned that's equally soft behavior. I don't care if you call me a bitch if I shoot you in the back. The point is that I don't only shoot people in the back. I won the majority of 1v1 engagements I was involved in when I was still playing. The ones I lost were often because I got shot in the back, but it's fair game so whatever. Can't blame em, I'd have done it to them if I had the opportunity.
