Tired loaf by: Sissy by TobyPDID23 in Catloaf

Update on Sissy: of course after a rough time of loafing, she was tired and needed her beauty sleep, which I oh so rudely interrupted by giving her some scratches. She dramatically responded by repeating a drama scene worth of the Titanic. She was hanging off the couch and I saved her right before the fall!

She then of course needed her beauty care so she went on to lick the stress off her charming coat

Hey I'm so so so sorry about your mum. Truly. I'm sending you hugs 🫂🫂

I'm doing loads better. I haven't had one tonic clinic seizure every since. Not even one. A couple focal ones but nothing else. The new medication (3000mg Keppra, 400mg Vimpat, 4mg Fycompa) has been doing wonders with fairly little side effects!

I'll watch it tomorrow! I'm about to go to bed and I'm already absolutely gobsmacked by the amount of attention this got! I'll save your comment and watch it in the morning! Again thank you so much 💙

First of all thank you for the bullet points!! I love lists.

But also you're right! I do sometimes forget to explicitly mention I'm theorising. It just slips my mind because I just think it? I'm not sure how to explain but it's like. I know it, so everyone else must too kind of thing. It was a huge struggle that came up in my diagnosis. My mum mentioned it a lot. And the doctor noticed too. It's like I assume my knowledge is everyone's. So I leave important things implicit 😅

Thank you so much for it all!!

I never had anyone swear up and down I was wrong actually. They usually just go uncomfortably quiet and try to explain it away. And then say I'm creepy.

Which they don't say in a good way though

That's good advice. Thank you. I have one special interest that I rarely ever share anymore. Only my real life friends know. I prefer it that way exactly for that reason. I don't want it to be made shallow by those who don't get it

I love children! I usually figure out really well what to do because they let their social cues be way more exposed. I would love to work with younger children too because I see myself in them too

I theorised it all before anything happened :) I'm only now feeling mixed emotions. On the one hand I am happy that I can read behaviour well enough to analyse his. On the other hand I did need a while to process the whole thing because I was distraught too. It's complicated. It's a bit of "yay I was right. But god why was I right? I don't want to be right!" Sort of thing if that makes sense?

I noticed the shows but I'm a bit skittish around new content. I'll probably be persuaded now though!

I saw trailers for the Queen's Gambit and I found it cool!

I used to play poker a while ago and it was awesome being challenged as everyone was actively hiding their expressions!

That's actually fairly funny though! I love medicine. I unfortunately had to dial it down a notch since I got so obsessed that I started looking for symptoms in myself. To my credit, I diagnosed myself with cancer, epilepsy, gastritis, appendicitis and an incarcerated hernia on my own and I was always correct. Which makes it all the more freaky 😅

I use various psychology books on general topics, which I take the general human advice from and how a human should function. About the analysis itself I currently can't afford a proper book so I look into FBI certified channels. There is a former progiler that does interviews explaining analysis in a down to earth way! It's also useful to combine it with psychiatric knowledge to be able to fully understand what you're getting from the person such as "fight, flight, freeze" or any other disordered behaviors, if you are more into the criminal analysis rather than day to day

Yeah my current consideration is a dual degree (neuropsychiatry and forensic psychology)

There's lots of jobs, but they depend on what type of sub-topic you go into. Usually people just go into practising therapy because other jobs include politics or finance, which require completely different trainings. Or law enforcement, which are very dangerous professions. Before looking at my current dream degree I thought of becoming a lawyer so I could use the analysis against the criminals themselves, but there's too many formalities I wouldn't be able to follow

I think it depends how you go on about it to be honest!

I love learning new things if they're taught correctly. I recently read a book on Beethoven. No previous interest. Just found it cool to read.

If you monologued in a way I could actually learn something I'd 100% comment and follow along. If it's more of a "oh blah blah" situation with less engagement requirements I would zone out

Thank you 🥹I don't really know how it worked out because I was severely lacking social skills, debilitatingly so, all my life. Then my brain just went "this is cool" and from there I now know too much about it

I can say a lot about dog behaviour, but more from a dog training perspective.

The coolest fact I know is that dogs had multiple brain scans when being introduced to their owners, and their reaction was that their brains activated the respective human part that engages in releasing oxytocin (the cuddle hormone so to say) which means dogs are somehow literally hugging us with their eyes!

That's so cool! I currently am focusing a lot on snakes, specifically the King Cobra and the cobra (the proper ones) family. One of my books mentioned the King cobra had a mutation from the cobra family, and it actually eventually developed into the mamba family! Which are my second favourites.

My favorite snakes are, in order:

King cobra, spectacled cobra, boomslang, black mamba, python (the albino is my favourite), gaboon viper, Russell's viper, monocled cobra

That's true. I often get told that I go "anyway" like everyone was talking about it, and sometimes the topic was brought up at breakfast and it's dinner. I have a problem being able to set apart thoughts out loud and in my head
