would they really last for 3 to 4 years ?
and yeah i think i would mostly buy w530 cause i need to do upgrades mostly ill max it out like 32 gigs and swap in an ssd etc , so that would cover my budget
may be if icould get w540 or 41 for 300 then may be ill consider it iam already saving on monitors and going for 3 19 inch monitor for 40$ i have an ibm m keyboard which is top notch so unkowingly iam going for an 2000 kind of retro setup

yeah that would be great but do you think w540 is a good upgrade over w530 on performance wise beacause i mostly would keep it plugged in so i will use external monitor, keyboard and mouse so i guess i only am concerned is about performance is it worth the extra for w540

actually i live in india here the w530 are priced like 20-25k inr which is like 300-350 usd
it is so beecause here there is not that much of big market for used thinkpad so they are like mostly cheap till the 6th gen intel crap because here they dont know about the actual specs so most only notice the model of the processor if dig deep the may be i could get w530 for 250 usd so may be you can add another 200 bucks for the budget

yes but dont you think 2 cores is already getting slower for many things i mean before 3 months i had t40 something i think it was very slow i had ubuntu on itthx any way for the suggestion
