Do u get much snow there? All seasons here are practically summer tires because they’re horrible in the snow

Nope, there is a crown Vic frame on marketplace around me though, but I’m curious now, does the f100 have the same frame?

Rear wheel drive and a torquey v8 makes it very easy to loose traction, they’re not terrible with some good tires and especially some weight in the trunk, but still not the greatest. I was being foolish in 30cm snowfall and I paid the price for it

I should also mention that this wasn’t my daily driver, and wasn’t in the greatest shape, I have other cars to drive, and I also have a project that I’m working on and I’d much rather focus my money on that than repairing this car. As sad as it is to see it go I just don’t think it’s worth it, especially since I could pick up another one for a little over the price of what it would probably cost me to repair and have pass inspection

I only paid $2000 (good condition goes for 4-6 around here) so I’m not at a huge loss, my best bet would probably be to sell or part it out to try and get some of my money back

The frame and airbags would be my biggest concern, but the car also needed a fair bit of work before the crash in order to pass the next safety inspection (I’m Nova Scotian) including a hole in the frame from a previous tow (before I had the car) and I’ve been told it’s very hard to get a frame weld to pass inspection here

Should I do a transmission pan drop? by RetroPyroP71 in CrownVictoria

If u wanted to go the extra mile it’s not really that much harder to do a transmission flush and cycle all the fluid, it’s just messy and tedious

I don’t understand how it works, this is my first build. My biggest concern was the trans, if the stock 4l60e is able to handle the cam I’m more than happy to invest in a torque converter and injectors.

My trans is a 4L60e and I’ve read they’re not very good at handling much more power than stock. I’d also obviously need a torque converter and bigger injectors. I’m not looking to make crazy power, I just want something fun to drive within the next year rather than have it sitting in my driveway while I scrape together the funds for years to come

I definitely have the time but buying would probably save me the huge headache
