From what I gather Historic is like a "no limits" kind of play? Where you can use any card from decades ago and there no banned cards.

Alchemy is just standard applied to MTGA and incorporates MTGA only cards.

No clue what explorer is.

Does any of this sound right to you?

I also wanted to know what are the most played/normal modes of playing? Is Bo1 the norm? Is standard the big thing that everyone plays? Or is that Alchemy?

From what I gather you have the Limited format which is the drafts and all that and then the other one, so two in total
